Rachel Handa, LCSW, is the leading licensed therapist at Ocean Ridge Treatment & Recovery. Raised in Orange County, CA, Rachel completed her undergraduate studies at Chapman University and earned her Master’s in Social Work from California State University of Long Beach.
During her graduate studies, Rachel gained significant experience in mental health at College Hospital Costa Mesa and Kaiser Permanente. Since then, she has focused on Dual Diagnosis treatment, holding roles as Clinical/Operations Director and Therapist at various treatment centers.
Rachel is skilled in EMDR for trauma therapy and integrates DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing in her practice. She is passionate about helping clients overcome their challenges and improve their mental health and substance use recovery.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys hiking, camping, live music, and traveling, finding joy in both nature and new experiences.
